SEE WEATHER UPDATE
For National Astronomy Day, we would like to have an Astronomy Roof Night. We will begin at 7:00 PM with a few 30 minute public shows about the what is up in the night sky on Saturday April 25th. The telescopes will be available on the roof starting at 8:00 PM once the Sun has set, weather permitting.
There is no cost and no reservations are needed for the roof night, however if you would let us know you coming on eventbrite, it would be helpful in planning. While our planetarium shows are accessible to all, please be warned there are several flights of stairs from the planetarium to the telescope on the roof of Smith Lab. If it is cloudy or raining we will have to cancel the roof part of the program but will show the night sky inside as long as there is interest.
If you are coming for the roof night follow the directions to the planetarium and tell them you are here to look through the telescopes. We look forward to seeing you.
Weather Update
The weather is horrible so there will be no telescope viewing but the planetarium shows will go as scheduled. Last show beginning at 8pm and ending at 8:30pm.
