Global Astronomy Month 2019 - Star Party

As part of Global Astronomy Month, we will be hosting a star party on 4/13/2019 which is the weekend of the 1st quarter moon. There are no tickets for the event just show up and enjoy. We will start at around sunset which is around 8pm on Saturday. All ages welcome!!!

Traffic

It is also the day of the "Spring Game" so be prepared for traffic as you get near to campus.

Rain or Shine

We will be having activities rain or shine to celebrate Global Astronomy Month for 2019. If it is clear we will have telescopes on the roof and people to show you how to find the stars in the sky. If it is raining we will be showing our planetarium show on the Moon to prepare for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing in July.

Weather Update - 9:57 am 4/12

Weather is IFFY but it doesn't look like it will be raining. This means the roof can be open even if we are not able to look at the stars. We will be showing planetarium shows on the Moon if we have no telescopes out.

Star party brought to you by the Department of Astronomy at Ohio State.
