For the first time in a decade, Earthlings will get to see Mercury pass across the face of the Sun. The entire transit will be visible from Ohio (if the pesky clouds stay waay) and we'll have telescopes on the roof of Smith Lab so you can view the transit safely and in style. Mercury is small enough that you need a telescope+solar filter to see its black disk against the bright Sun. So stop by sometime between 8 am and 2 pm and take a look at a rare celestial line-up!
