Going beyond the comets and into the stars
This is a 30-minute show about Charles Messier and the Legacy of the Messier Catalogue. Traveling back over 250 years, before electric lights and modern telescopes, you will meet a man chasing ghostly visitors in the night sky: comets. His name was Charles Messier, and in trying to avoid confusing objects with comets, he inadvertently created one of astronomy's most beloved treasure maps.
